Full Beekeepers Seven Day Course
2012 Dates: Thursday; March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29  April 5, 12 from 7-9 pm.  Saturday, April 14 and/or 21 from 10am - 12 pm.
Ages: 14 through seniors Fee: $70/member or $80/non-member; includes a book  PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
Take your fascination and curiosity about honeybees one step further and join instructor Cybil Preston for our complete 7 day course on becoming a hobbyist beekeeper.  The course is geared for beginning beekeepers; however experienced beekeepers seeking current information are more than welcome.

Activities include lectures, videos and hands-on training. After completing this course almost anyone will be able to set up and manage his or her own beehive.
Course Instructor:  Cybil Preston co owns a local small beekeeping and produce business.  She is the past president of the Susquehanna Beekeepers Association and is currently Head Beekeeper for Eden Mill Nature Center and an Apiary Inspector for the Maryland Department of Agriculture.

Eden Mill's head beekeeper, Cybil Preston, will be on hand to answer questions about honeybees, crop management, honeybee pests and diseases, as well as demonstrating hive maintenance. There is no registration for this free demonstration!
