Field Trips

Utilizing the vast array of resources at Eden Mill, we offer a variety of stations for your customizable field trip. The amount of stations offered is dependent on your group size and will be determined by our staff.

Stations Include:

Wetlands Exploration

Wetlands Exploration

Participants will discover the many benefits a wetland has to the ecosystem and investigate the critters of this habitat through hands-on exploration.

Nature Center

Nature Center

Explore our nature center which focuses on the plants and animals of the Piedmont area. Meet and learn about our live critters such as snakes and turtles.

Interpretive Hike

Take a guided hike along a short section of our hiking trails. We never know what we may discover along our trails!

Historic Gristmill

Historic Gristmill

Take a tour of our historic gristmill and see how farmers 200 years ago had their corn and wheat ground into flour and cornmeal.

Field Activity (for PreK/K only)

Field Activity (for PreK/K only)

Utilizing curriculum from Project WILD, Learning Tree, and WET, students will actively learn about an aspect of nature through one to two games.
