Visitor Information
Eden Mill Park has something to offer for all, whether you are looking to take a peaceful nature walk or for a place to launch your canoe or kayak for a water based adventure.
Hours
The park grounds (canoe/kayak launch, trails, picnic areas, etc.) are open daily, from dawn to dusk.
Our nature center and historic grist mill museum are open:
- Monday - Friday: 8:30am-4:30pm
- Saturdays: 9:00am-4:00pm
- Sundays: Closed
As a Harford County Parks and Recreation facility, we follow Harford County Government’s holiday schedule and inclement weather closing schedule. The nature center and mill museum may be closed for short periods of time in order to accommodate our programs, so we always recommend calling ahead to insure our buildings are open.
Rules and Regulations
- No collecting of plants or animals
- No bikes, horses, roller blades or skateboards
- No hunting
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times to preserve wildlife habitat and ensure visitor safety. Owner is responsible for cleaning up after dog
- Swimming is NOT permitted anywhere in the park, per county code

Canoe and Kayak Launch
Our handicapped accessible canoe and kayak launch is conveniently located right next to our canoe barn.
There is no fee to use the launch and no permit is required. Vehicles can unload and load in the nature center parking lot, but must be moved to the lower parking lot next to the pavilion while out paddling.
The parking lot in front of the building is for nature center and trail visitors. Unfortunately, we do not rent canoes or kayaks.
